Lay your head in water [WIP]

[This is still Work In Progress. Currently about 70% done.]

The sleepy fishing town of Rauferhofn is awakened when a weathered and beaten fishing vessel moors on its beaches. In the hull lies the diary of Billie Helguson, the missing daughter of fisherman Jon Helguson. Amidst the rising suspicions surrounding her disappearance, the Helgusons quickly shift the blame to their long-standing rivals, the prideful Magnusson clan. Meanwhile, hushed voices in the village tavern warn about the waves acting strangely, and the lights appearing in the morning fog. 

Our cosy submission for the Twisted Classics game jam for Liminal Horror is a one-shot adventure set in a remote Icelandic fishing village. 

Touchstones: it began with The Mist, but quickly veered into different directions, to become its own thing altogether. Inspirations, in part, or whole, come from the following:
